Encrypt message to be opened at later time
1. Fill out the form with recipient details, email, and desired opening time.
2. Choose delivery method: Email (default), PO Box, or both. PO Box provides an additional security layer, especially for long timespan messages or if you may lose email access.
3. You will receive a public RSA key from Timeseal - use this to encrypt your message on your own device.
4. Store your encrypted message wherever you like: online, USB, paper - it's your choice.
5. Enter the location of your stored encrypted message in the form field.
6. Timeseal will only store metadata and send you the private key at the exact time you defined via your chosen delivery method(s).
PO Box delivery adds an extra layer of security and reliability. If you're sealing a message for years or decades, your email account might be compromised, closed, or inaccessible. A PO Box provides a physical backup that ensures you'll receive the private key even if you lose digital access. We recommend using both Email and PO Box for long-term time capsules.
Timeseal is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Users are responsible for their own message encryption and storage.
